Non-Surgical Treatments in NYC: Botox, Fillers, Peels and More

Non-surgical treatments at this practice fall into three categories: injectables (Botox and other neuromodulators, and dermal fillers), chemical peels, and hand rejuvenation. Each addresses a different problem: expression lines, lost volume, skin texture and tone, and aging hands. All are performed by Sarah Walner, PA-C, the practice's lead injector, under Dr. Itay Wiser's medical supervision and with the same natural-results approach as the practice's surgery.

The three categories

Botox, neuromodulators and dermal fillers

Botox, Dysport and Daxxify relax the muscles that crease the skin, softening frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet. Dermal fillers restore volume to the lips, cheeks, jawline and under the eyes. Sarah injects both, conservatively, so the result reads as rested, never done. See Botox and fillers in NYC and dermal fillers in NYC, and if you are unsure which you need, Botox vs fillers.

Chemical peels

Peels improve texture, tone, fine lines and acne scarring by removing the outer layers of skin at a controlled depth, from a light peel with a day of flaking to a deeper peel with a week or two of downtime. See chemical peels in NYC.

Hand rejuvenation

Hands show age through volume loss and sun damage. Fillers restore the volume; peels and other treatments improve the surface. See hand rejuvenation in NYC.

How long results last, and what they cost

  • Botox and other neuromodulators. Results appear within days and typically last a few months before the muscle activity returns; most patients repeat treatment three or four times a year. Priced per unit.
  • Dermal fillers. Several months to a year or more by area and product; lips shorter, cheeks and jawline longer. Priced per syringe.
  • Chemical peels. Light peels are repeated in a series; deeper peels last longer and are done less often. Priced per treatment or series.

Results and how long they last vary by patient, area and product. The Botox and filler pricing guide explains how the numbers are built and what to compare between practices, and the practice gives a written estimate at the consultation.

Hair restoration

Many patients who come for injectables also ask about thinning hair. The practice offers non-surgical hair restoration with PRP and PRF, also under Sarah; see hair restoration in NYC.

Questions patients ask about non-surgical treatments

What is the difference between Botox and fillers?

Botox and other neuromodulators relax the muscles that fold the skin, softening lines made by expression (frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet). Fillers add volume where the face has lost it (lips, cheeks, jawline, under the eyes). Many patients benefit from both, and the comparison guide explains how to tell which you need.

How long do fillers last?

Most hyaluronic acid fillers last from several months to about a year or more, depending on the area, the product and how fast your body metabolizes it. Lips tend to be shorter-lived than cheeks or jawline. Results and how long they last vary by patient, area and product.

What does a chemical peel feel like?

A light peel feels like a warm tingle for a few minutes and leaves the skin slightly flushed. Deeper peels sting more and are managed with cooling and, for the deepest, numbing. Sarah matches the peel depth to your skin concern and your tolerance for downtime.

How much does Botox cost in NYC?

Botox is usually priced per unit, and the number of units depends on the area and your muscle strength. The pricing guide explains how the number is built and what to compare between practices; the practice gives a written estimate at the consultation.

Is there downtime?

Botox and fillers: little to none; some bruising or swelling for a few days is possible. Light peels: a day or two of flaking. Deeper peels: several days to two weeks of peeling. Hand rejuvenation: a few days of swelling. Sarah tells you what to expect for your plan.

How do I choose a provider for injectables?

Look for a licensed physician or a supervised injector with training specific to facial anatomy, before-and-after photos that show subtle results, a conservative philosophy, and a consultation where you are told what will not help you. Ask who will hold the syringe.
